Hello and welcome to elvamdesign.com!

I’m delighted that you are here. I hope that you will enjoy my site. My goal is to provide you with tips to save money and time on DIY projects, event planning, being a Pinterest mom without going crazy, and everything else that life throws at you.

Ok, maybe not everything.

I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a mom of two young boys, ages 2.5 and 2 months. Life is crazy sometimes – both “crazy wonderful” and crazy “I’m going to pull my hair out.”

I wouldn’t change anything!

Becoming a mom rocked my world a bit. It opened up emotions I didn’t know existed and it also helped me view the world a little differently.

Somedays I kind of laugh at myself for getting all teary-eyed when I look at the babies I made. Do you know what I mean?

Anyway, enough with the mush. Aside from mommying it up, by day I work outside of the home (although I’m currently on my last week of maternity leave. So bittersweet!) as an Interactive Project Manager for the BEST company I have ever worked for.

Seriously they win awards all of the time so I’m not making this up.

My day job is the most supportive company and coincides well with work/life balance and family values and just being a good human. I’m truly lucky.

Over the last year I have thought about opening up a little design studio. I have worked professionally as a graphic designer at a past job creating marketing materials, but my real passion is good old fun paper goods like invitations, announcements, home decor, printables, and party decor.

I have been creating for myself, and friends and family for several years now. What you see in my shop is an accumulation of those goodies – as well as a ton of new designs – that I finally found the courage to share with the world (or the 1 or 2 readers who find this blog!)

But really, it’s 2016 and I thought to myself, “now or never, Meghan.” I’m choosing now. I’m choosing this year to take my passion to the next level.

It’s probably a crazy time to do that – hello, newborn in the house – but I’m going to do it anyway. So welcome! I’m so glad you are here to join me on this journey.

Best, Meghan
