Pirate Valentine Box

I recently shared some fun printable pirate Valentine’s Day cards and am excited to share this adorable Pirate Valentine Box that is the perfect way to collect all those cards at school.

This box is easy to make with only a few supplies so it’s great for parents who are either short on time or hesitant to craft but still want to send their child with a fun Valentine’s Day box.

I also have a few ready-made options to consider at the bottom of this post.

How to make a Pirate Valentine box

Equipment Needed

Materials Needed

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Wrap the box with the black and white stripe paper roll or wrapping paper.

Step 2: Using a box cutter, cut out a heart shape. Don’t worry about it being perfect, the heart you will cut out with card stock will hide imperfections.

Step 3: Cut out a heart in red card stock and your child’s name in pink card stock (or your choice of colors). I used my Silhouette to get crisp cut lines (and be able to use a fun font for the name) but scissors will work too.

Step 4: Using the glue stick, adhere the letters and heart onto your box, lining up the heart with the hole you cut out.

Step 5: Download the Pirate Printable. If you choose to use a Cricut or Silhouette, use the SVG or JPG file (for JPG, you’ll need to trace the object to define your cut lines) then use the print-then-cut feature. Otherwise, use scissors to cut out the printable.

Step 5: Using a glue stick, attach the pirate printable to the side of the box.

Your Pirate Valentine’s Day box is all set to start receiving all the cute classroom Valentines from friends!

I had this black & white stripe paper roll on hand from our Two Cool birthday party, but regular wrapping paper would work too.
