Cinco de Mayo is next week already. We have so much going on, including a retirement party to get ready for on the 6th, so we probably won’t do too much this year. I’ll feel like we successfully celebrated if we eat some tacos and wash it down with a Mexican beverage like a margarita or a Michelada.
What’s a Michelada you say? Only one of my favorite Mexican (adult) beverages! If you are planning to throw a fiesta large or small, I recommend you serve Micheladas for Cinco de Mayo.
Make Micheladas for Cinco de Mayo:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 cup ice
- Mexican beer
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
Optional:
- Salted rim
- Salsa/Hot Sauce
DIRECTIONS:
Moisten the rim of the glass with lime and coat with salt. Add ice and lime juice. Add beer. If you want to make it a little spicy, add a few drops of salsa. I personally leave this out.Â
Michelada Beer Tags
Last year I put together these cute little tags for a Cinco de Mayo beer exchange at my day job. It includes the recipe to make a Michelada.
Aren’t these tags so cute? Packaging them up with a bottle of Mexican cerveza would be a super fun take-home gift for your (21+) guests! You can grab the file for free!
